The highlight of the cherry blossoms at Nison-in Temple is the 50-meter-long path called “Momiji-no-Baba. In the fall, it is known for its autumn foliage, but in the spring, it becomes a tunnel of cherry blossoms that attracts visitors. Cherry trees are also planted around the main hall, and the sight of their light red blossoms hanging from the branches is breathtaking.
In addition, Nison-in has a rare double-flowered cherry tree called “Nison-in Fugenzo Cherry Blossom. It has about 200 petals and shows a graceful light red flower face.

Hana Matsuri (Flower Festival)
The Hana Matsuri (Flower Festival) is held every year in early April at Nison-in. The precincts of the temple are exceptionally beautiful when they are dyed in white and pink.
