The cherry blossoms that fill the garden, centering on the double-stemmed weeping cherry tree, give visitors the sensation of being showered with cherry blossoms.
From the pale pink Somei-Yoshino cherry trees, which are almost white, to the deep pink Benishidare-zakura (weeping cherry), the various colors of sakura bloom like a mosaic, weaving a colorful canvas.
In addition to the cherry blossoms, other flowering trees such as the snowy willow, mountain laurel, and Rikyu-ume (Japanese apricot) are also in bloom, creating a rich spring scene in the garden.

Visitors are not allowed to bring in food or drink, but if you make a reservation for a box lunch, you can enjoy your meal while viewing the cherry blossoms on the outdoor stools in the garden.

How to access
- Take M1 city bus, get off at Haratani, and walk about 1 minute.
- About 2 km from Kinkakuji and Ninnaji Temples (about 5 minutes by cab)
Large vehicles are not allowed on the Haraya route.
