The cherry blossoms of Mizuhitenmangu Shrine have abundant branches and cover the shrine grounds. The sight of the dark pink petals swaying in the wind is breathtaking, and the shrine grounds look like a tunnel of cherry blossoms.

In the precincts of the shrine, there is a “Noboritenishi” stone, where the spirit of Sugawara Michizane is said to have alighted. This stone is said to have protected the capital from water-related disasters, and is still believed to be beneficial in preventing water-related disasters.

There is also a stone called “Tamagoishi” in the precincts of the shrine, which is said to bring blessings for safe delivery if worshipped by a pregnant woman in her fifth month of pregnancy.
