The path is located on the left bank (east bank) of the Kamo River along the west side of the Kyoto Botanical Garden, and is about 800 meters long. 70 cherry trees are planted along the path, and the path is named “Nakaragi no michi” (path of the half-tree), which is one of the many famous cherry blossom viewing spots in Kyoto.

The cherry trees along the Hanki-no-Michi path bloom with deep pink flowers, and when they are in full bloom, the path resembles a tunnel of cherry blossoms.
